Bahrain's sewerage project set for Q4 completion

Around 80 per cent of the work is over on the Muqaba Sewerage Network Project in the Northern Governorate of Bahrain and on track for completion by the fourth quarter of this year.

The project aims to connect 41 houses and real estates in Block 517 to the network, said a senior official from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

Bahrain inflation forecast to pick up in 2018 as VAT launches

Inflation will be moderate in Bahrain over the remaining months of 2017 as the effects of previous subsidy cuts wear off and global food prices and consumer demand stay subdued, according to a new research note.

Analysts BMI said inflation in the Gulf kingdom is likely to pick up in 2018 amid improving economic conditions and the introduction of VAT, which comes into effect on January 1.
