AUBH 3D laboratory inaugurated

Higher Education Council (HEC) Secretary-General and Vice Chairperson of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa inaugurated the first of its kind D.Lab at the American University (AUBH), accompanied by AUBH President Dr. Bradley J. Cook.
D-Lab is a professional laboratory that contains machines and devices with modern technologies that print and manufacture products in 3D.
The laboratory was launched in partnership with Fab Lab Bahrain’s Go Fab 3D foundation.
The secretary-general was briefed on the laboratory’s smart and modern technology used to print and manufacture products in 3D using artificial intelligence.
She praised the cooperation between the university and the foundation, stressing Fab Lab Bahrain’s efforts to develop the skills of students in the modern technology field.
Dr.Shaikha Rana stressed HEC’s efforts to incorporate modern technology into the higher education sector.
AUBH president confirmed that D-Lab’s is equipped with the largest number of 3D manufacturing machines in Bahrain which will encourage students and faculty members to explore the field of design and serve the market in the Kingdom.
