Bahrain hands over Salman Town housing units
Bahrain's housing ministry has started the hand over of residential units in Salman Town within the Northern Governorate to its owners, in line with the royal directives.
The ministry move comes following an order from HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, to distribute 5,000 housing units, reported BNA.
Salman Town is one of the major projects being carried out in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build 40,000 housing units in the kingdom, it stated.
Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar said the town was distinguished by the areas designated for its public parks, and beaches, thus highlighting that its islands are linked with a network of roads and bridges.
It was designed to be connected to a number of main entrances to accommodate the traffic movement of the residents and visitors, said the BNA report.
It also includes key amenities such as subsidiary electrical stations, a water station and another for wastewater treatment besides mosques, kindergartens, schools, a university, a major hospital and health centers besides a sports city that includes a football stadium, it added.
