BCCI, AWS conclude training programme on cloud computing
Manama, July 28 (BNA): The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have concluded a virtual training programme that targeted business owners and entrepreneurs.
The programme included two intensive distance workshops, with the first titled “AWS Technical Essentials Day” and the second “AWS Business Essentials Day”.
The workshops explained cloud computing, its requirements, and implications in a business context. The main cloud services offered by AWS such as data storage, data analysis, and virtual servers were highlighted.
The workshop also deliberated about the main advantages of using cloud computing, including having access to unlimited storage capacity, efficiency in operations, optimisation of resources, security, and the ability to continue uninterrupted online operations even in the case of natural disasters.
The training programme is in line with the Chamber’s efforts to encourage local business owners and entrepreneurs to adopt latest technologies that contribute to enhancing their efficiency and competitiveness and support their expansion endeavors.
