Work Ministry launches 27 municipal e-services

Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister, Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf, has announced that 27 municipal services have become electronic.
He indicated that the move is in line with the Ministry’s keenness to provide better services to the citizens, residents and investors, through streamlining procedures for municipal services and reducing in-person visits of clients to customer service centres as much as possible.
Khalaf asserted that “Digital Transformation” is a strategic project that is consistent with the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030, the Government Action Plan 2019-2022 and the policies of the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA).
The minister pointed out that the transformation of the municipal services into e-services has been carried out in coordination and cooperation with iGA, praising iGA’s support to the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry.
