Ways to improve electricity, water services discussed

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): Electricity and Water Affairs Minister, Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, received the representative of the sixth constituency in Muharraq, MP Dr. Hisham Al-Asheeri, and representative of the ninth constituency in the Capital Governorate, MP Ammar Al-Abbas.

They discussed a number of topics related to the electricity and water sectors.

The minister reviewed the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA)’s future plans and projects, as well as its recent achievements in delivering quality services to the citizens and residents.

Tackling ways to enhance EWA’s cooperation with the Council of Representatives, the minister commended the dedicated efforts of lawmakers to raise and discuss issues aimed at improving the quality of the services delivered to the citizens through Executive-Legislature cooperation, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to strengthen cooperation between the two branches.

The minister commended the two MPs’ efforts, interest in the issues related to the citizens, and keenness to ensure that the best services are provided to the citizens and residents.

The two lawmakers highlighted the needs of their regions regarding services, valuing highly the efforts exerted by EWA to enhance the electricity and water services. They also stressed the importance of continuous cooperation in order to provide the best services.
