Government schools starts distributing laptops to needy students
Government schools have begun distributing laptops to their needy students, within the initiatives of the “Feena Khair” Campaign, launched by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and the Board of Trustees Chairman of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
In this regard, the RHF’s ‘Feena Khair’ Coordination Committee is cooperating with the Education Ministry to provide 10,000 laptops to be distributed to Bahraini government schools’ students from needy families, in addition to the distribution of 2,500 laptops to the University of Bahrain students to ensure the continuity of the academic year 2020-2021 in which remote studying has been approved.
Commenting, Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, lauded HH Shaikh Nasser’s support to the Education Ministry’s efforts to ensure education for all in the midst of the current circumstances.
He also paid tribute to the RHF for its support, stressing that laptops are distributed to public school students in accordance with precise criteria that contribute to ensuring that they are granted to the groups that really need them.
