BTEA urges hotels and hospitality facilities to compliance with mandatory precautionary measures
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) urged all hotels and hospitality facilities to adhere to the instructions stated in the ministerial edicts issued by the competent authorities in order to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
It cited particulalrly the provisions of Public Health Law No. 34 of 2018 on combating communicable diseases, the ministerial edicts issued to contain and prevent the spread of the pandemic, as well as the, recommendations and directives of the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19.
The authority cited the increase in infections As a result of family gatherings, especially on occasions such as weddings and special events, in addition to laxity and recklessness in applying the precautionary measures
It stressed all individuals and institutions to comply with the mandatory precauyional measures in order to support national efforts to combat the pandemic.
It cited the circular issued to tourist establishments and their facilities is an extension of previously issued edicts, banning gatherings, celebrations, weddings or conferences in hotels, restaurants, halls, lounges and all open and closed event locations and interior spaces.
The authority reiterated its confidence in the cooperation of the tourism sector to overcome these challenges, in a way that contributes to unifying national efforts to address the risk of the spread of the virus.
