Al Baraka Islamic Bank receives PCI-DSS recertification

Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB), one of the leading Bahraini financial institutions in the field of Islamic banking, announced that it has successfully attained the recertification of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), the leading information security standard created to enhance cardholder data security and combat frauds.

During the awarding ceremony, which took place at Al Baraka’s headquarters on 7th of October 2021, the certification was rewarded to the Bank on behalf of SISA, the region’s number one global payment security specialist. The ceremony witnessed the attendance of the Chief Executive Officer of Al Baraka Islamic Bank, Mr. Hamad Al Oqab, and representative of SISA, Mr. Yogesh Malhar Dange, along with other senior officials from both entities.

Commenting on the occasion, Hamad A.
