Diyar Al Muharraq, the leading real estate development company in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the completion of infrastructure works for the main roads in Diyar Al Muharraq’s Southern Island. The works were completed in the end of March 2022 and included extending the electricity, water, telecommunications, sewage, rainwater and irrigation networks to Al Naseem, Mozoon and Era Homes projects including future projects within the area.

Diyar Al Muharraq appointed Al Ahlia Contracting Company to complete the infrastructure work for this phase, and AECOM as the consultant for design and to supervise the infrastructure works spanning approximately 1 kilometre. The second phase of construction was completed in 6 months and also included paving and road lighting works. The junction was upgraded from a 3-way to a 4-way traffic light and 4 roundabouts were added to enhance road connectivity for current and future projects throughout the city.

Al Ahlia Contracting Company commenced the second phase of the infrastructure works mid-August 2021. In conjunction with the completion of the works, and in line with Diyar Muharraq’s goal in providing ideal surroundings to meet its residents’ various needs, these works constitute an important addition to the infrastructure of Diyar Al Muharraq. The recent works will now provide various services to the residents of Al Naseem, Mozoon and other nearby areas.
