Bahrain to host MPGC 2022

Under the patronage of Oil Minister, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the kingdom will host the 29th Annual Middle East Petroleum and Gas Conference (MPGC 2022) on May 16-17 at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
The event will attract senior officials in local, regional and international oil companies from 25 countries to discuss the main issues and challenges facing regional and global oil and gas markets.
The minister commended the efforts made by the “Conference Connection” company to organise the 29th edition of MPGC in the kingdom, confirming the distinguished reputation and status of Bahrain as a major host for various specialised events and oil projects.
He expressed thanks and appreciation to the participants in the global event, including CEOs and heads of international oil and gas companies, senior government officials, policymakers, international oil traders, energy experts, analysts and leading organisations in the energy sector.
He indicated that the participants will discuss important specialised topics, including energy markets, Middle East trade and price shift, LNG trading outlook, future fuels and energy transition, changing refining landscape towards another golden age, among many other topics of importance in the oil sector.
He pointed out that the event provides a platform to exchange information and experiences in various specialised topics and find appropriate solutions in light of the unprecedented geopolitical and economic pressures and challenges the world is going through, in addition to the rise in oil prices and the lockdown in China due to the increase in number of COVID-19 infections.
He wished the conference every success in achieving its goals aimed at enhancing the prosperity and growth of the energy sector.
The conference provides 10 in-person and virtual sessions. Speakers will discuss the most important issues in supply and demand, the path of crude oil prices, the impact of the current geopolitical landscape, links between Asian and Middle Eastern markets, the ongoing trade and competitive pressures, and the role of refineries and standards in power transmission support, among other topics.
