Importance of Vaccination for children aged 3-11 stressed

Dr. Al Qahtano made the call to parents in light of increasing infections among this age group reports all over the world.

“Vaccination increases the number of antibodies, strengthens the immune system of this age group and provides them with the necessary protection from the virus, which contributes to their safety”, he said.

He noted that studies and scientific research have proven the safety and effectiveness of vaccinations in raising the efficiency of the immune system, and alleviating virus complications.

He pointed out that studies have also demonstrated the role of vaccinations in reducing the symptoms of the virus that may persist in some cases for long periods after recovery. from the virus.

“The immunity acquired from anti-viral vaccination contributes to strengthening the immune system of the body without complications, unlike the acquired immunity among those recovering from the virus, which may be accompanied by some complications as a result of infection with the virus, which may persist in some cases for long periods”, he said.

Al-Qahtani noted that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Center for Disease Control and Epidemiology (CDC) have recommended vaccination for this age group to reduce the incidence of complications or deaths as a result of infection with the virus.

The Ministry of Health has provided the Sinopharm anti-Coronavirus vaccination for children aged 11 years in the previously announced health centers, which can be found on the ministry’s website https://healthalert.gov.bh.

The ministry has also announced the provision of the (Pfizer-Biontech) vaccination for children aged 5-11 years in the vaccination center in Sitra Mall, in addition to Jidhafs Health Centre, NBB Health Centre in Hidd, Hamad Town Health Centre, Isa Town Health Centre, Hoora Health Centre and Ahmed Ali Health Centre.
