SCW Secretary-General briefed about planned technology accelerator

Manama, Jun 7 (BNA): Supreme Council for Women (SCW) Secretary-General Hala Al Ansari received Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, SCW member, Chair of Women Fintech Committee, and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) Chief Executive Officer Dalal Al Qais.
The SCW chief was briefed by HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa about the committee’s work and efforts to integrate women in modern technological and scientific fields.
She was also updated about the committee’s work outputs and its ability to produce projects capable of dealing with the requirements of the digital economy, in line with the national efforts that keep pace with the emerging trends in the field of digitization and modern science, which the Economic Vision 2030 emphasizes.
“The aim is to increase productivity and innovation and create promising new job opportunities” said HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa , stressing the importance of BDB efforts to support the ideas and projects of Bahraini youth.
The meeting discussed the launch of a technology accelerator at the Bahraini Women's Capacity Development Center 'Riyadatin accelerator in order to attract Fintech projects initiated and managed by Bahraini women, and provide them with all the necessary support in terms of incubation, expertise and guidance.
