Bahrain-Germany political and economic partnership discussed

Manama, Jun 29 (BNA): Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, held a virtual meeting with the Director General of the Affairs of the Near and Middle East, Africa and Latin America of the German Federal Office, Philipp Ackermann.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and the close political and economic partnership between Bahrain and Germany.
They discussed ways of promoting joint ties in various fields to benefit the two friendly countries and people, as well as follow up on coordinating positions on regional and international issues of common interest.
Dr. Shaikh Abdullah highlighted the outcome of the first meeting of senior officials between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European External Action Service, which was held a week ago in Brussels.
He stressed Bahrain’s interest in promoting political coordination and consolidating the bonds of the growing strategic partnership with Germany, as it is one of the most important influential partners in the European Union.
He highlighted common interest in consolidating security and peace and supporting sustainable development in the region and the world.
