SCH President, Mumtalakat CEO, Health Minister discuss establishing vaccines factory

Manama, June 30 (BNA): President of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) CEO Khalid Al Rumaihi.

Health Minister Dr. Jaleela S.Jawad Hasan was present.

They discussed the best ways to ensure provision of vaccines in the Kingdom, especially the Covid-19 vaccine.

SCH president reviewed the establishment of a new factory to produce and distribute Covid-19 vaccines that will cover the middle east's need for vaccines.

Shaikh Mohammed noted Bahrain's achievements in combating the pandemic within the development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Mumtalakat CEO said that Bahrain will be able to keep its leading position in combating this pandemic through investment and promoting health care in the region by establishing this factory.

The health minister highlighted the importance of uniting national efforts to promote national and international partnership in the field of drug security which is a considered a desirable goal for all countries.

She affirmed that Bahrain ensures promoting investment opportunities in the health sector through its integrated and structured set of laws and principles.
