Export Bahrain and Emirates Airlines sign MoU to enhance logistical services

Export Bahrain has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Emirates Airlines, during the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS 2022), which coincided with ‘Export Week’, to enhance the Export Shipping & Logistics solution.
The partnership agreement will enable Export Bahrain’s customers to forge worldwide connections with special rates for their cargo services, including value added services, such as insurance, custom clearance, and packaging. Moreover, products made in Bahrain are being considered for inclusion on the shelves of EmiratesRED, which is the world’s first inflight TV shopping channel, and the Onboard Duty Free, and to be identified with Export Bahrain.
The comprehensive services offered by Export Bahrain and Emirates Airlines will support businesses throughout the export process and shed light on the creativity of local businesses in the Kingdom of Bahrain on an international scale.
This partnership will facilitate export services for businesses based in Bahrain at preferential rates and support enterprises to export their products globally.
“Export Bahrain is looking to build a repertoire of different types of solutions and offerings like this one to enable exporters to make that journey into the area of exporting their products and services much easier,” Export Bahrain CEO Safa Sharif AbdulKhaliq said.
“We are pleased to have Emirates airlines support us in this direction and we are sure that businesses will benefit from not just the fast connections from its hub but also to actively participate in promoting the national objectives of economic development with this promising opportunity.”
Emirates Country Manager in Bahrain Reema Al Marzouqi said “We are very pleased to be able to expand our customer base in Bahrain while supporting the internationalization and export ambitions of the Kingdom.”
“Emirates airlines can offer modern and efficient aircraft together with a culturally diverse workforce to deliver award-winning services to the customers of our partners at Export Bahrain, providing them with access to markets across six continents every single day,” she added.
