On behalf of the Industry and Commerce Minister, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, the Ministry’s Undersecretary, Eman Ahmed Al-Dossari, attended the opening ceremony of the first branch of the international chain of “Decathlon” stores, in the presence of a number of senior officials and stakeholders.

On this occasion, the undersecretary affirmed that the Kingdom always seeks to put in place an investment-attracting environment, and provides the necessary facilities to ensure the flow of investment to support the national economy, noting that the Industry and Commerce Ministry is cooperating with the relevant authorities to provide more facilities to attract local and international investments.

While touring the store, Al-Dossari was briefed about its experience in selling sports goods.

Established in 1976, Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer. It is the largest sporting goods retailer in the world, with stores in 60 countries and regions.
