BDS signs agreement with Servier Company to implement health initiatives in Bahrain

Bahrain Diabetes Society (BDS) signed a cooperation agreement with Servier Company to implement health initiatives to improve community health, reduce risks of cardiovascular disease and boost diabetes care in Bahrain.
The agreement was signed by BDS Vice Chairperson Dr. Mariam Ibrahim Al Hajri and Servier General Manager Anthony Mallet, under the patronage of Supreme Council of Health (SCH) President Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The meeting included awareness activities to highlight the importance of early detection of diabetes, high blood pressure, as well as updating the medical staff with latest care process for people with diabetes and prepare them for fasting during the month of Ramadan.
“We are pleased to sign the agreement, as the BDS and Servier Company have a long history of cooperation. The agreement will consolidate the partnership to improve care for people with diabetes in Bahrain and provide high-quality content based on scientific evidence for community members and healthcare professionals,” Al Hajri said.
